<p>We certainly appreciated your background of coaching in the industry &#8211; right away, it gave credibility to your presentation. Your enthusiasm was great &amp; you did an excellent job of reaffirming much of what we work through with advisors&#8230; it is valuable for them to hear it from an &#8216;outside source&#8217;.</p>
<p>Great concepts! You were able to create excitement in the room but also provide some great tips for implementing the ideas as well.</p>
<p>Our advisors took a lot of notes &amp; found a lot of value in the material you presented. You did a phenomenal job of relating your experience to our rookies as well as our seasoned advisors.</p>

<p>He helped us understand how to get in touch with our unmet needs and how to transform negative emotions to positive emotions. This transformation of thought and emotion can help us perform at a higher level.</p>
<p>Simon also gave us some powerful questions to ask our best clients that will help us build trust and confidence and that will help us gain more introductions to new prospects. </p>
<p>Questions such as:</p>
<p>1. What do you like best?<br />
2. What did I do for you that you didn&#8217;t expect?<br />
3. What can I do to improve my service?</p>
<p>These are great questions that I can immediately put into practice with clients to help me grow my business.</p>
<p>Simon referenced a great book that I plan to read, the book by John Kehoe, “Mind Power.”</p>

<p>I have had the honour to know and work with Diane Dupuis and her team since 1997 and Dupuis Langen Financial Managment is the definition of the best in the business.</p>

<p><strong>How Did You Get To Speak At The MDRT?</strong></p>
<p>I believe that this came about from a series of synchronistic events over a course of time.</p>
<p>My first connection with the MDRT was when I spoke at my very first Advocis Chapter Education Event in April of 2006 in Kelowna, BC and James Rogers, past MDRT President 2008 was speaking the same day and that was the first opportunity that I got to meet James Rogers. Next, I spoke at an Advocis Moncton Education / MDRT Experience Event in November of 2006 where I met Walton Rogers, past MDRT President 2009.</p>
<p>I have had the opportunity to speak coast to coast at 24 Advocis Education Events from Victoria, BC to St. John’s, NL. which includes a total of speaking at 150 financial advisor speaking events in the last 54 months.</p>

<p>In my December 2008 planning process for my goals for 2009, I wrote down… Attract the opportunity to speak at the Vancouver 2010 MDRT Annual Meeting, and I held that intention throughout the year.</p>
<p> My friend Robert Gignac, author of Rich Is A State Of Mind, was a speaker at the MDRT in Indianapolis in 2009. Sometime over the course of the Indianapolis MDRT meeting, Robert approached <strong>Greg</strong> Gagne who is one of the Speaking Captains for the MDRT annual meeting in Vancouver. Robert asked <strong>Greg </strong>if he&#8217;d be interested in talking to Canadian speakers for the 2010 MDRT in Vancouver.</p>
<p>Robert Gignac was gracious enough to recommend me and after a series of conversations and e-mails, I received an e-mail in September of 2009 … Congratulations, you have been selected as a speaker for the 2010 MDRT Annual Meeting;</p>
<p>Thank you to my Speaking Captain Ross Vanderwolf and to all of the MDRT Speaking Committee members.</p>
<p>In closing, dream big, think five to ten years out, write your dreams down and clear your roadblocks to your success.</p>
