End Workplace Conflict With These 7 Steps For Leaders In The Financial Services Profession

End Workplace Conflict With These 7 Steps For Leaders In The Financial Services Profession

You’re part of a strong financial services professional team, and your team can produce outstanding results… most of the time. But sometimes teams can slide down the slippery slope of discontent generating unnecessary and unwanted workplace conflict. You as the team leader may or may not be aware of it, although if you’re tuned in, you are, being aware that sometimes, just sometimes, it starts with you.

If you are noticing conflict in your office, ponder the following and do some self-reflection. The only perspective that matters is from your true self, your soul, not the amygdala:

  • Look into the future. Things must change.
  • Hiring new people won’t solve the problem. It won’t take long for a new hire to feel the discontent and they could leave as quickly as they arrive. This could generate further discontent and pave the way for your current strong members to also leave.
  • One must commit

7 Steps Of Self Compassionate Time Management In Advance Of #GAMA #LAMP 2019

7 Steps Of Self Compassionate Time Management In Advance Of #GAMA #LAMP 2019

Preparing to speak twice at the March 2019 GAMA LAMP Conference has required extra energy, focus, rest, space and time. It has been truly inspiring! Look for more on this in future posts.

    My Solutions Session and Thought Leadership Presentations will include offering these understandings about;

    • Mindset – based upon a set of values and beliefs. The challenge is, most people don’t know the difference between a value and an unmet need. Inspiration is fueled by values, positive feels and positive beliefs; motivation is fueled by unmet needs, negative emotions and negative beliefs. The law of attraction is absolute.
    • Mindful – accepting current emotions and feelings. The challenge is, in the endless and unsustainable pursuit of staying high on motivated doing, most people deny themselves the self-compassionate space to be, to accept current emotions and feelings. To accept is to love.
    • Self-compassion – self-kindness,

      Carrying A Vision With Heart

      Carrying A Vision With Heart

Laura and I returned on Sunday Evening, March 8th from a much needed 10-day break at Rancho Pescadaro, near Todos Santos, Mexico. We have been working flat out, balanced by meditation, prayer and yoga, working 5 – 6 days a week since the beginning of January

I’m looking to get back into the heart of social media but my social media circuits are connected elsewhere at the moment and here is a brief update.

Back on February 16 I blogged “Just at the moment I’m at near capacity with coaching and the writing that is required for multiple 2015 MDRT New Orleans deadlines that include speaking presentation bio, transcription, book and trade show booth. This is on top of the creative work that is required for upcoming speaking dates.”

I spoke at NAIFA DuPage on February 26th and flew Friday, February 27th from Chicago to Los Cabos to meet Laura

Happy 10 Year Leading Advisor Website Anniversary!

Happy 10 Year Leading Advisor Website Anniversary!

Aclamaciones! Bravo! Hourra! Hurra! Hurray! Sante!

It’s the 10th Anniversary of our Leading Advisor Website. We decided to do a count of the webpages and blog posts we’ve created over the years.  Getting a valid count of all the content has been like asking a farmer how many pieces of straw are in a straw bale: depends on who is counting.

      • Google indexing says 4,190 pages, which includes every page that Google can find from website links on the site.
      • Google Webmaster tools says 4,057 indexed pages, which includes our blog posts as well as all website pages that were created outside of WordPress.
      • WordPress says we’ve published 2327 blog posts and 170 pages (this does not include our newsletters and various pages that were published outside of WordPress).

What does all of this mean?

We live in the small family resort beach town of Parksville, BC, Canada, with a population of 12,000 people and
