I Get What I Focus On
December 1, 2006 by Simon

You know what I say, “I get what I focus on”. I’ve been ranting about clients missing appointments over the past few days in the following Blogs:
- November 30, 2006 – Oversell Just Like Hotels & Airlines?
- November 30, 2006 – “Two Strikes You’re Out!”
Low and behold, no sooner do I write the above noted Blogs and we receive the following:
- Via Telephone – Hi Laura, It’s Time Conscious Tom calling. How are you? Listen, do you think it would be OK with Simon if I cancel today’s appointment. Do you think it will be OK?
- Via E-Mail – Hi Simon, I am to be out of town tomorrow. Can we reschedule?
When clients start to work with us they receive the following in a Client Policies & Procedures Document.
- Changes – If you need to reschedule your call, please give me at least 24-hour notice.
I’ve got it! We charge a flat monthly fee whether clients show up for their appointments or not!
Clients can enroll in and pay a fee for a program to assist them in eliminating the habits that are sabotaging their business. The next step is the client can use Appointment Quest which is an On-Line Appointment Scheduling Software to schedule their appointments and then they can use Appointment Quest to cancel and / or reschedule the appointment.
I believe that this system will work perfectly and I won’t know anything about it!
