Welcome! You will find my writing style conversational and at times, it may seem long. This is why the E-Zine is presented through the following table of contents.

 

My intention is that the varied table of contents will satisfy all;

  • Those that want an additional step by step program.

  • Those that would like to look over my shoulder to see what is going on with other clients.

  • Those that would like to look over my shoulder to see what is going on with me and my business.

Part 1 – Simon’s Success Strategies 2005 - Start 2005 Polished,  Planned & Prepared

Simon's Success Strategies will follow the following multi-step format that I guarantee will Make Your 2005 Polished, Planned & Prepared.  Again, I will be adding supporting Articles, Assessments, MP3 Audios, Surveys & Teleclasses.

You may ask why I am I offering this program.  It is simple, I can add value for you while integrating it and raising the bar for myself at the same time.

When I look back at the past years, I didn't pay attention to the detail and although I was always well prepared for the day ahead, I wasn't well prepared for the year ahead.

I learned that the most important business activity I could engage in wasn't the mastery I had achieved in marketing and sales, it was the planning and preparation that went into the organizational structure and systems on which my business operated.

As a result of both good and bad experiences, I decided to dedicate the rest of my professional life to helping others avoid the many mistakes that entrepreneurs can make and became a business coach.

My goal for 2005 is to build a profitable and thriving 7-figure coaching practice and have lots of personal and professional fun along the way.

My practice will;

  • Generate revenues up to and above 7 figures each year 

  • Allows me 12 weeks vacation every year

  • Three-day weekends in the weeks that I work

  • Allows me to focus on my unique abilities of speaking, coaching and writing

  • Enjoys a support team of 3 people who are responsible for the key performance activities of the business - finance, marketing, sales, resource development and team development

  • Most importantly of all - has clients who rave about the difference we make in their lives

Part 2 – Coaching Case Studies

In this section I will include actual transcripts of coaching situations that I have worked with a client on in the past two weeks.  With the permission of the client of course and the names and the personal information will be edited out also.  You will get to experience coaching from an entirely new view and be surprised at how the case study topics relate to what you may be going through right now.  You may be surprised to find that many clients are dealing with same issues in ay one given week.

For this issue, I am offering two case studies;

  • The "One Banana" - Relationship Building Web Site versus the Brochure or E-tail/Retail Web Site

  • The 17 Rules of Niche  

I'm taking the liberty to give you some insights about my experiences that have lead me to this type of site. Before I get into The "One Banana" Web Site, let me share some reflections through The 17 Rules of Niche.

The 17 Rules of Niche

  1. Are you offering what the client wants, offering value versus offering what you need to?

  2. Values are the only sustainable foundation for your niche.

  3. Niche is the same as your Vision, Purpose & Mission.

  4. Vision - What YOU SEE as possible for others, the world.

  5. Purpose - Why you are here. What you are here TO BE.

  6. Mission - What you are here TO DO.

  7. Are there enough of them?

  8. Do they have the money to pay you?

  9. Will your investment of energy, money and time create a profit?

  10. Can you create a plus seven figure yearly income working with the niche?

  11. Can you find them?

  12. Can you speak about and write about topics that relate to the niche?

  13. Do you believe that you could write monthly articles about the topics that relate to the niche?

  14. Does the niche have associations and conferences?

  15. Become their Google, their information source.

  16. Be-BOP - Bold, Outrageous, Provocative. 

  17. Become a Celebrity in your Niche.

The "One Banana" Relationship Building Web Site vs. the Brochure or E-tail/Retail Web Site

As you look over the Leading Advisor Web Site please note the following;

The website is designed as a follow up from a likely personal introduction from me or from someone that knows me.  My personal introduction to our web site visitor is likely to be through a one on one conversation, a referral, from a public speaking event, a TV spot, a newspaper article or and industry specific advertisement.

This website has a different approach to the flash, multi-button, multi-menu, pay per click or search engine approach.

It is designed for one purpose only, to invite the reader to subscribe to the e-zine with the intention to offer value for free over an extended period of time to develop a long lasting relationship.  The "One Banana".

The web site is about subscribe now, NOT BUY NOW!  We want to invite to add value.

Some will say that in the e-commerce world that if we don't capture the viewers attention in 1 or 2 seconds then we will have lost them, that they are not willing to scroll down to get to our buttons - products, about us, etc.  My belief is that if we offer too many buttons, then we will take them off course from our intention and that again is to create a relationship through our e-zine subscription.  To say it another way, if we put in our products or public speaking buttons at the top then they will or may miss the e-zine subscription.

Either our message will speak to the reader or it will not.  We are not likely to attract the adrenaline addicted web surfer and that is OK.

My Values are;

  • Attraction - I believe in attraction based marketing. 

  • Currency/Energy - I believe that energy will be magnified 10 fold through service to others

  • Encouragement - I believe in expanding our reader's vision, expectations and goals

  • Partnering/People - I believe in educating and requesting our readers refer others

  • Professionalism/Quality/Service - I believe in seeking to serve

  • Sense/Wisdom - I believe in feeling fulfilled through the joy of the success of my clients

  • Teaching - I believe in offering expertise.

  • Understanding/Empathy - I believe in taking a genuine interest.

  • Venture - I believe in intention.

Reflections

These are exciting times as 2004 comes to a close and the frontiers of 2005 open up. There is a lot of magic in the air.

Laura and I have been working together now for just over a year. Yes a husband and wife can work together when they have love and the tools to understand and appreciate each others strengths and areas to strengthen. When there is understanding, there is joining in a common goal.

Understanding versus Judgment

When there is no understanding, there is judgment. When there is judgment, there is no understanding. Judgment and no understanding is a venomous breeding ground for the fear based insane ego mind to look for differences and fault.

E-Zine

Leading Advisor will be going through some significant changes and enhancements in 2005.

With this E-zine, we will be able to stay a little closer to our clients and offer additional services and systems to help them stay on track.

Toronto Trip Dec 7 - 12

Laura & I will be in Toronto attending the Advisor's Edge, Financial Advisor Conference, December 8 & 9 and the Coaching Business Forum December 10 & 11.  We will return with new insights and additional resources and perspective that we will be passing on to you.

Last and certainly not least and no sooner than we launch the Leading Advisor web site …. :-)  Why do one when you can do two?
