Should One Post Blogs, Newsletters or Social Media Posts Over The Summer Months?

It’s Friday evening, June 20th and I’m on a flight from San Francisco to Victoria returning from speaking at NAIFA Mount Diablo’s Sales Summit in San Ramon, California, along with Doug Lenhoff;  “How to Sell Individual Disability Insurance” and  Van Meuller; “This is the Greatest Time in History to Sell LIFE INSURANCE, ANNUITIES AND MUTUAL FUNDS!”

The flight left an hour late. A mother and her wriggling baby are sitting next to me.

I am in a state of joy for a number of reasons: appreciating the love between mother and child, for passing the hour of waiting time at the gate doing yoga, for the exceptional response from the NAIFA Mount Diablo audience for my Inspirational Tipping Point Presentation, that I’m meeting Laura in Victoria to spend the weekend, that it is the last speaking event of the season, and I will be home for the summer save for one speaking trip to Cabo San Lucas that Laura and I will be going on to speak at National Insurance Marketing Executives Conference and Integrated Financial Concepts Conference  August 3 – 7.

I’m also very happy to have presented The Inspirational Tipping Point Speaking Presentation over the past 12 months to NAIFA State Conferences in California, Georgia, Montana, New Hampshire, North Dakota, South Carolina, Washington and West Virginia

I’m also very happy that the last 12 months of working in the business on the following systems are nearly at an end:

  • Budget Cash Flow / Sales Activity Calculator Upgrade
  • Client Commitment Process ( Disclosure of Fees / Ban On Commissions ) PowerPoint Presentation
  • Computer Upgrades
  • Customer Service Flow Charts / Delegation / New Systems Implementation
  • Information Management Upgrades
  • Inspirational Selling Research
  • Maximizer Upgrades to Version 12.5

I’ve also completed a Values Upgrade that I will talk about in a future blog.

While the above improvements have taken me loads of hours, I am certain that I have saved Laura 30% or more of her time.

The last system upgrade that I want to complete is our 2014/2015 Speaking Marketing & Sales Plan as I want to do more speaking in the USA to Financial Services Companies and Insurance Marketing Organizations.

I’ve just polished off the best parts of the July Edition of Success Magazine and I am reminded to Make The Time To Sell Everyday and Delegate. The Success Magazine Article resonates with the presentations that I have heard from greats like Joe Jordan, Tom Hegna, Anthony Morris and Van Mueller.

When I look at my Projects and Tasks, I can honestly say that there isn’t anything left to Delegate or Systemize … at least for now.

So with a burning to desire to complete our 2014/2015 Speaking Marketing & Sales Plan, and while I have been Posting Blogs, Newsletters and Social Media Posts on a regular basis since December of 2004 I am asking myself the question: Should One Post Blogs, Newsletters or Social Media Posts Over The Summer Months?

Honestly, I am thinking of taking the summer off  from Blogs, Newsletters and Social Media Posts as I want to take the time that I invest in Blogs, Newsletters and Social Media Posts and invest it in completing our 2014/2015 Speaking Marketing & Sales Plan that will include some old fashioned sales activity that includes picking up the telephone.

Will I quit Blogs, Newsletters and Social Media Posts Over The Summer?

If I don’t have the time to write in a state of joy like I am right now or easily delegate the Blogs, Newsletters and Social Media Posts, as my friend Dave would say; it ain’t gonna happen.
