Pay Attention To Compliance, It Isn’t Going To Go Away

While preparing for last week’s Compliance & The Elimination Of Rogue Behaviours financial advisor speaking presentation for Advocis Ottawa, I came to me that Compliance isn’t the issue.
The issue is we are being fuelled by The Culture Of Fear that we have been hammered with in this new millennium from questionable wars, oil shortages, the environment, the economy through to the fear of a pandemic and possible inflation on the horizon.
In the middle of all of this is the rogue behaviours of a few financial advisors have been overselling questionable products with excess commissions to unqualified clients.
Compliance is not going to go away so learn to pay Attention.
Pay Attention to Attention Management so that your valuable time and energy isn’t sucked away majoring in minor things.
Pay Attention to building the following components of your business to include a big vision to add value to those you serve which in turn will yield a bigger income that will fund the team and the systems that you need to remain compliant.
- Values, Positive Feelings, Positive Beliefs
- Vision
- Business / Marketing Plan
- Budget Cash Flow
- Goals
- Hiring & Delegation
- Customer Service
- Product Focus
- Relationship Management
- Time Management
- More Profit
- Attention Management –> Quitting
To remain Compliant you have to Quit the Routine that is killing you and pay more Attention to Compliance.
The Idea Of Being On Tour
November 23, 2009 by Simon · Leave a Comment
The 1995 notion from the coaching movement “that you can live anywhere and coach clients over the phone” along with “create an online presence and coach clients over the phone” may have some truth but it needs a lot of STP – See The People along with The Idea Of Being On Tour.
Imagine the idea of having a product that will completely sell itself on line and it is not going to happen unless we want to get into gambling, porn and Viagra … NOT!
It is 8am ET on Saturday and my flight has just left Thunder Bay and I am on my way home via Toronto, Vancouver and Nanaimo and will arrive on our doorstep at about 4pm PT.
This has been a great trip with speaking at Advocis Sudbury, Advocis Ottawa and Advocis Thunder Bay and meeting with the owners of MGA firms and the Regional Directors of Financial Advisor Firms to discuss additional financial advisor speaking and workshop opportunities … it is certain that I will be back in the cities of Sudbury, Ottawa and Thunder Bay in the not too distant future.
So with a trip of 10,000 km, 10 flights, 3 different financial advisor speaking presentations of Clear Your Roadblocks, Compliance & The Elimination Of Rogue Behaviour and The Six Degrees Of Life Insurance Connection behind me along with key meetings with Centers Of Influence, I am settling into a morning of competing the following;
• Working on my 2010 Goals
• Blogs for the Week of November 23rd
• November E-Newsletter
• Clear Your Roadblocks Workshop Sales Copywriting
• Client E-Mails
This trip has been monumental and perfect as it is a demonstration of the full engagement and operation of the Marketing Funnel … thank you Laura for making this trip possible for without Laura none of it would have happened and thank you Tiffany for supporting Laura and me along the way.
“See The Financial Advisor and Investment Advisor People in 2010!!!!!”

Dates for 2012 TBA - stay tuned!
