The answer to the problem was given to me via an interview on Global TV with Michelle Borba about her new book called;

The Big Book of Parenting Solutions: 101 Answers to Your Everyday Challenges and Wildest Worries.

Michelle said something like;

“Don’t tell your child how smart they are; praise them for being hard working”.
